April Fools Brownies

These moist and chocolatey brownies will leave you feeling "April Fooled" when you find out they're less than 150 calories a serving and almost half the fat of regular brownies. So pour yourself a glass of milk and settle in for a culinary trick that will leave you smiling.

  • 1 Cup All purpose flour
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Butter
  • 2 Ounces Dark Chocolate, Chopped
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup 1% Low Fat Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Large Egg Yolks
  • 1 Large Egg
  • Non Stick Cooking Spray


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa, salt in a bowl and stir with a whisk.
  3. Use microwave to melt butter and chocolate in a medium bowl, cool slightly.
  4. Add sugar, milk, vanilla extract, egg yolks, and egg to butter mixture and stir with whisk until combined.
  5. Mix the butter and flour mixtures together just until combined.
  6. Pour into 8-inch metal baking dish coated with nonstick spray.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
