Mix together the pretzels, 4 1/2 tablespoons sugar and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Set aside to cool completely.In a medium bowl, beat the sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over the cooled crust. Beat Cheddar cheese, next 6 ingredients, and, if desired, red pepper at medium speed with a heavy-duty electric stand mixer until blended. Gradually add flour, beating at low speed just until combined.Step 2Turn dough out onto a well-floured surface. Divide dough in half; flatten each half into a square. Roll each square to 1/8-inch thickness (about 12 x 12 inches). Cut into 1/2- x 12-inch strips, using a fluted pastry wheel.Step 3Holding 1 dough strip at each end, twist strip until tightly curled. Pinch ends to seal. Repeat with remaining strips, and place 1/2 inch apart on 2 parchment paper-lined baking sheets.Step 4Bake at 350° for 10 minutes, placing 1 sheet on middle oven rack and 1 sheet on lower oven rack. Ingredients·       2 cups penne pasta·       1/4 cup red wine vinegar·       1 tablespoon lemon juice·       2 cloves garlic, crushed·       2 teaspoons dried oregano·       salt and pepper to taste·       2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil·       10 cherry tomatoes, halved·       1 small red onion, chopped·       1 green bell pepper, chopped·       1 red bell pepper, chopped·       1/2 cucumber, sliced·       1/2 cup sliced black olives·       1/2 cup crumbled feta cheeseDirectionsFill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the penne, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 11 minutes. Rinse with cold water and drain well in a colander set in the sink.Whisk together the vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Set aside. Combine pasta, tomatoes, onion, green and red peppers, cucumber, olives, and feta cheese in a large bowl. Pour vinaigrette over the pasta and mix together. Cover and chill for 3 hours before serving.
