Lentils and Rice

Cook time: Cook 2 to 4 hours on High

Yield: 4 - 6

This healthy, quick and easy dinner can be eaten alone or you can use it for a meat substitute in tacos. Add all ingredients to Slow Cooker and cook on high for 2 -4 hours.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Lentils
  • 1/2 Cup Rice
  • 1 Diced Onion,
  • 6 Minced Cloves of Garlic
  • 4 1/2 Cups Water
  • 2 TBSP Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to slow cooker and stir. Cook on high 2 - 4 hours.
